Google User Data
RockBuzz Business is a social publishing and marketing application for local businesses. If you connect a Google account to RockBuzz Business, we access certain Google user data through Google APIs, including the YouTube Data API and Google Business Profile APIs. This section describes what Google user data we access, how we use it, with whom we share it, how we protect it, and how long we keep it.
RockBuzz's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What Google user data we access
We only access Google user data after you grant permission on Google's consent screen. We do not use Google as the way you log into RockBuzz Business. Google account access is used only for optional platform connections you choose to add.
YouTube. When you choose to connect YouTube, we access:
- Your Google Account basic profile information, including your name, email address, Google user ID, and profile photo.
- Your YouTube channel information, including channel ID, title, description, custom URL, thumbnails, subscriber count, and channel privacy status.
- YouTube video and upload data needed to create, upload, schedule, update, and manage videos you publish through RockBuzz Business, including video files and video metadata such as title, description, tags, category, privacy status, made-for-kids setting, license, thumbnail, and subscriber notification preferences.
- OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens that allow RockBuzz Business to take these actions on your behalf.
Google Business Profile. When you choose to connect Google Business Profile, we access:
- Your Google Account basic profile information, including your name, email address, and profile photo as needed to authenticate the connection.
- Your Google Business Profile account and location information needed to list, select, and display your business location in the app, which may include location name, address, phone number, website, photos, and related location metadata.
- Local post publishing data so we can create and manage Google Business Profile posts that you compose and schedule in RockBuzz Business.
- OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens that allow RockBuzz Business to take these actions on your behalf.
How we use Google user data
We use Google user data solely to provide and improve the user-facing features you request in RockBuzz Business, including to:
- Authenticate and maintain your YouTube and/or Google Business Profile connection.
- Display your connected Google identity, YouTube channel, and/or business location in the app.
- Publish, schedule, edit, and manage content you create in RockBuzz Business to YouTube and/or Google Business Profile.
- Monitor connection health, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot publishing failures.
- Honor your instructions when you disconnect a Google product or delete your RockBuzz Business account.
We do not use Google user data for any other purpose.
Limited Use
RockBuzz's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not use Google user data:
- to serve, personalize, or retarget advertisements;
- for targeted advertising or interest-based advertising;
- to sell to data brokers or information resellers;
- to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes;
- to create databases unrelated to providing RockBuzz Business; or
- to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
How we share, transfer, or disclose Google user data
We do not sell Google user data. We do not share, transfer, or disclose Google user data to third parties except:
- to Google, when we perform an action you requested, such as uploading a video to your YouTube channel or publishing a post to your Google Business Profile;
- to service providers that process data solely to help us operate RockBuzz Business, such as hosting, database, and security providers, under contracts that limit their use of the data;
- if required by law, legal process, or to protect RockBuzz, our users, or the public from fraud, abuse, or security threats; or
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, or similar corporate transaction, subject to this Policy.
We do not transfer Google user data to third parties for advertising, data brokerage, credit, lending, or AI/ML training purposes.
How we protect Google user data
We protect Google user data with industry-standard security measures, including:
- encryption in transit using TLS/SSL;
- encryption of OAuth tokens at rest;
- firewall and password-protected systems; and
- access limited to personnel who need the data to operate, secure, or support the service.
Retention and deletion of Google user data
We retain Google user data only for as long as needed to provide the connected YouTube and Google Business Profile features, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
You may request that your Google user data be deleted at any time by:
- disconnecting YouTube and/or Google Business Profile in RockBuzz Business, which causes us to delete stored OAuth tokens and the associated Google connection data for that account;
- deleting your RockBuzz Business account in Settings, which deletes your RockBuzz Business account and associated Google user data we stored for that account;
- emailing info@RockBuzzNetwork.com with the subject "Delete Google User Data"; or
- revoking RockBuzz's access in your Google Account permissions at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
When you disconnect a Google product or we process a deletion request, we delete or destroy the related Google user data in our systems, except for limited records we may retain as required by law or for security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
Modifications To This Policy
If we decide at any time to change this Policy, we will revise the effective revision date posted at the top of this Policy and we may also notify you by posting a notice of the change prominently on our home page (we may also elect to notify you the next time you log in after the effective date of the change(s)). Failure to opt-out after receiving notice and following the opt-out instructions contained in the notice shall be deemed to be your assent to any such changes. We will keep this Policy current regarding how RockBuzz Business uses Google user data.
How You Provide Personal Data
User Registration
We collect the first and last name and email address of the contact person of each Business User as the only direct item of identifiable information of Business Users. We collect the first and last name, email address, and birthday of all Social Users (for the purpose of verifying age eligibility and delivering birthday-specific promotions or deals from our Business Users) as the only direct item of identifiable information of Social Users, when any such user registers and creates either a Business User or Social User account (collectively "PII"). All users will be asked to create and provide a username and password to access the non-public portion of our Platform, and we collect and store this information in our database. Further, any applicable business information in connection with any Business User is collected, including the business name (which may include the name of any sole proprietor business), tradename, physical address, phone number, and any other business contact or identifying information provided directly by a Business User as part of any Business Content (collectively "BI").
Website Forms
When you provide any PII, BI, or other personally identifiable data through any form contained on this Website in order to contact us, we collect and store this information. We may use your email as expressly set forth in this Policy.
Mailing List
We collect and store your email address when you sign up to receive our email newsletter or to contact us. We may use your email address as expressly set forth in this Policy.
Personal Information From Children Under 13
Children under the age of 13 are expressly prohibited from submitting or posting any PII on this Website. If it does come to our attention that any child under the age of 13 has submitted any personal information to this Website, we will delete all such information that we have collected immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and you discover that your child under the age of 13 has submitted any of his or her PII without your permission or consent, we will remove the information immediately upon your request. All requests should be made by email and sent to info@RockBuzzNetwork.com. Please include your child's name and a description of the type of information you think he or she may have submitted to this Website.
How We Automatically Collect Personal Data
When you access our Website, we may collect and store through our host provider certain data sent automatically by your browser using standard web server logs and automatic data collection tools such as cookies and web beacons. This information may include your IP address, which may tell us your general location information such as your country and sometimes your city, state and/or zip code, the domain name from which you access our Website, your browser type and language, the pages you access, the date and time you access pages on our Website, and your operating system version. We also may determine what technology is available through your browser in order to provide you with the most appropriate version of any of our web pages.
Cookies & Tracking Policy
We use cookies, web beacons, and other automatic data collection tools in the operation of our Website. Cookies and similar collection tools are files with a small amount of data, which includes a unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and transferred to your device when you log in. We reserve the right to monitor your use of this Website and track you as described in this Cookies & Tracking Policy by the use of any automatic data collection tools at all times, and you consent to the use of these tools when you use and access our Website and use the Service.
This Website uses "first-party cookies". (Third-party cookies are cookies that are set by a third-party source other than our Website.) We use both "persistent cookies" that remain on your device for the period of time specified in the cookie (these cookies are activated each time you visit our Website), and "session cookies," which allow us to track your actions on this Website during a browser session.
The cookies and tracking technologies that may be used on this Website can be broadly divided into the following categories:
- Necessary cookies help make our Website usable by enabling basic functions like page navigation and access to secure areas of the Website and login authentication. Our website cannot function properly without these cookies.
- Statistics and Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with this website by collecting and reporting information anonymously.
First-Party Cookies & Tracking
A. Website Session Management: We authenticate our registered Website users and store specific user language preferences.
B. Analytics Services: We may use web analytics services, such as Google Analytics and/or Admiral Analytics, in order to collect your Website use information. This information is collected in the aggregate and may include the number of page visits, duration, sources of traffic, visited pages, keywords used to find our Website in searches, technical details of visitors' devices, and your location. Our analytics services only show us a unique user ID and do not share any of your PII, your Google username, or your specific IP address. For example, Google Analytics uses a unique identifier called a Client ID to track user site activity, which is stored in a first-party cookie. We pass a first-party cookie onto your browser directly from our Website when we use analytics services.
You may opt out of Google Analytics by using Google's Browser Add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Website analytics described in this section is separate from Google user data obtained through Google APIs when you connect YouTube or Google Business Profile. Analytics data is not used to train non-personalized AI or ML models and is not combined with YouTube or Google Business Profile API data for advertising.
C. Ad Performance Tracking: We track impressions, clicks, and engagement metrics on all Business Content and Sponsored Ads. We share this aggregate performance data with the respective Business User to verify the value of their sponsorship (for example, "Your ad was viewed 500 times").
D. API Use Data: We use API key(s) for calls against social media APIs made available to our Business Users for Business Content publication on various social media platforms. We track user access patterns and API usage for logging and security. We also store your API keys and OAuth tokens in our databases, which are encrypted.
E. Social Platform Integrations & Data (Business Users Only): When you choose to connect a third-party social media account (for example, YouTube, Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok) to the RockBuzz Business App, we use secure OAuth Access Tokens and Refresh Tokens to maintain this connection. These tokens allow us to perform actions on your behalf, such as publishing Business Content and retrieving messages for your Unified Inbox.
- Data Access & Caching: We access your profile information, posts, and, where authorized, direct messages to display them in the Unified Inbox. We may temporarily cache these messages to facilitate quick replies and scheduling functions directly from our Platform. For YouTube and Google Business Profile, we access the Google user data described in the Google User Data section above.
- Security: We store these authentication tokens in an encrypted format at rest and use them solely to provide the social integration features you have authorized. We also log API usage patterns to monitor connection stability and prevent abuse.
- License Grant: We do not claim ownership of any content accessed from these third-party platforms. However, by connecting your account, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to process, cache, and display this content solely for the purpose of providing the Unified Inbox, scheduling, and publishing features. You may revoke this access at any time via the security settings of the respective third-party platform, including Google Account permissions for YouTube and Google Business Profile.
F. Email Retargeting: We may also use tools that help us understand whether users read email messages or newsletters and/or click on links contained within those messages or newsletters so that we can deliver relevant content or product offers. Through the use of unique identifiers contained in the URL of tools such as tracking pixels, we are able to record the exact time that you read our emails, as well as your IP address. Requests to the server to send the additional content typically include the IP address of the requesting computer, the time the content was requested, the type of web browser that made the request, and the existence of cookies previously set by that server, which may be linked to a unique tracking "token". This email retargeting does not use Google user data obtained through Google APIs.
G. Device-Specific Information: We may automatically collect device-specific information about your mobile and other devices such as the type of device you are using, mobile network information including phone numbers, device model, manufacturer, screen resolution, device capabilities, service provider, preferred user language, and your page views. We do this to help us determine which aspects of the website work best for mobile traffic and which mobile marketing campaigns work best for the business, including mobile advertising, mobile search marketing, text campaigns, and desktop promotion of mobile sites and services. This information does not identify your device uniquely.
H. Mobile App Permissions: To provide the full App experience, we may request access to:
- Precise Geolocation: To show Social Users "Deals Near Me" and local events (Social App) or to provide market analytics to Business Users (RockBuzz Business App).
- Camera & Photo Library: To allow Business Users to upload Business Content and Social Users to update profile photos.
- Push Notifications: To alert Business Users of new leads or Social Users about expiring deals.
How To Manage Cookies
You can block our cookies or third-party cookies by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies), you will not be able to use our Website in any meaningful manner as intended. Your Internet browser allows you to change your cookie settings in the "options" or "preferences" menu of your browser.
How We Use And Share Your Data
Website Use Data
We may bundle your Website use history with any BI or PII for a short period of time for internal analysis and security purposes only. The foregoing described bundled data is referred to hereinafter both singularly and collectively as "Use Data." We use Use Data strictly for internal analytics purposes and we do not share Use Data with third parties.
Lead Generation Sharing
If Social Users take an "Affirmative Action" on the Platform (such as redeeming a coupon, requesting a quote, or RSVPing to an event), we share your Social User profile information (name and email) directly with the specific Business User associated with that content. Once shared, your data is subject to that Business User's own privacy practices. This lead-generation sharing does not include Google user data obtained through Google APIs.
Email Newsletter
We use the email address provided by visitors who opt in to send periodic promotional emails about relevant services and products or about any new or upcoming courses.
Email Marketing Opt-Out
You can opt out of receiving any promotional emails or newsletters at any time by either clicking "unsubscribe" in the body of the email communication and following the opt-out procedure contained in the email, or by sending an email to info@RockBuzzNetwork.com and requesting to opt out of receiving such communications.
Data Retention And Deletion
We store your personal information for a period of time that is consistent with our business purposes. We will retain your personal information for the length of time needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When the data retention period expires for a given type of data, we will delete or destroy it.
You may request that your data be deleted by:
- deleting your RockBuzz Business account in Settings;
- disconnecting a linked social or Google account in Connections; or
- emailing info@RockBuzzNetwork.com with the subject "Information Request" or "Delete My Data."
If you make any information or deletion requests, we will require that you provide proof of your identity before we update, release, or delete information.
Required Disclosures
We may disclose certain PII if (i) requested via a subpoena, court order, or local, state, federal, or international law enforcement request to release any such information; or (ii) in order to investigate and help prevent security threats, fraud, or other malicious activity; or (iii) to protect our rights or protect our property, or any of the rights of our customers or other third parties.
Communications
When you visit this Website, submit posts on our forums, or send emails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications from us electronically. You agree that all agreements, notices, and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. All posts submitted by you on the forums of this Website shall not be treated as confidential and shall be deemed to be accessible to the general public. You should not transmit any information in your posts that you intend only the intended recipient(s) to read. Notice is hereby given that all messages or electronic data transmitted onto this Website can and may be read by us, regardless of whether we are the intended recipient of any such message(s).
How We Protect Your Data
We take the security of your data very seriously. All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted during transmission using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) / TLS encryption. The data we collect and store is protected by industry-standard firewall and password protection systems. OAuth tokens used to connect third-party accounts, including Google accounts, are stored in encrypted form at rest. However, we make no guarantee, warranty, or representation that any information provided through this Website will remain secure at all times from any illegal or unauthorized access of any data, including any PII, by third parties. We will report any unauthorized access to your information promptly upon discovery, and we will use our best efforts to remedy any security vulnerability that contributed to unauthorized access.
